Description
Bret Ingalls is the current offensive line coach for the New Orleans Saints of the NFL.
Ingalls has coached football for more than three decades now at both the collegiate and professional levels of football. He is a graduate of Snohomish High School, in Snohomish, WA, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. While at Snohomish, Ingalls received All-American honors as a fullback for the Snohomish High Panthers.
After a short-lived career playing college football at Wichita State University, Ingalls started his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant for the Idaho Vandals. In 1989, Ingalls was hired by the San Diego State Aztecs and rose to the position of offensive coordinator in 1993. At San Diego State Ingalls coached alongside current New Orleans Saints head coach, Sean Payton, and coached three-time All-American running back and future Pro Football Hall of Famer, Marshall Faulk. Ingalls continued to coach at seven other college programs before moving to a position in the NFL.
Ingalls was hired by the New Orleans Saints in 2009 as the running backs coach, before being named the offensive line coach the spring of 2013.
